Layer 1 — CPTED (within VAPM™)
Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design. A qualitative framework from architecture and criminology that asks: how does this property’s physical design invite or deter crime?
CPTED evaluates Natural Surveillance, Natural Access Control, Territorial Reinforcement, and Maintenance & Image. It produces environmental design findings and recommendations. Used by federal agencies, CISA, and the UN to protect crowded places and public buildings.
Layer 2 — CARVER (within VAPM™)
A quantitative asset-scoring methodology. Originally developed by the U.S. military and Intelligence Community, now used by DHS, NATO, and the UN. It asks: which specific assets are the most exposed, and in what order should they be addressed?
Within VAPM™, this layer scores each discrete asset on a 1–5 scale across six factors, producing a composite score, a severity band (Low / Moderate / High / Critical), and a ranked priority list. Every score is defensible, repeatable, and insurer-ready.

Do you need to visit my property, and how is data collected?
No site visit is required for the Express or Professional tiers. You submit property photos, site plans, prior inspection reports, or other supporting documents directly through an upload form, and the VAPM™ engine analyzes that data. A site visit becomes optional at the Enterprise tier for complex facilities.
What’s in the report?
Every report includes an Executive Summary, Vulnerability Findings, VAPM™ Asset Scores, your VYKEN Property Vulnerability Index™ (VPVI™), a VYKEN Business Impact Score™ (VBIS™) for each asset, prioritized Recommendations, and Supporting Evidence such as annotated imagery — together forming the VPVIA™ plus a Corrective Action Plan sequenced across 30/60/90-day windows.
